My first village

When you start a second village is it better to go for a 9 cropper around some friendlier players but still 8 blocks from home or a 15 cropper closer to enemies but still 8 blocks from home. I am working on my third setteler and trying to figure this out.

I'm waiting for my 3rd settler to make his way back to me so i can take a 15cropper, just depends on what you wanna do. I recommend a 15 cropper if your going to build an army, also buying gold REALLY helps so you can use the NPC merchant to distribute all that crop early on if your not producing a ton from your other to ship out there. Just depends on which way you want to go. Hope this helps

I was just wondering why you would want it to be 8 blocks from 'home'?

Because I was looking for a nine cropper or 15 cropper. They are not incredibly common, I didn't have one in my 7x7. This was the next best bet.
